This project is an exchange between French and Irish cultures : SUNSHINE &  PRECIPITATION / DE LA PLUIE ET DU BEAU TEMPS refers to a first meeting between two people, when we talk about the weather and we gradually find out about the other. This exhibition presents a series of curiosities, most of them in connection with each other. Science, culture, imagination, are major leads for this collective exhibition. Manipulation, assembling and reconstruction; like an immense collage, the works let the cultural origin of each artist show.

CATALYST ARTS is an organization and a gallery based in Belfast, in Northern Ireland. It was created in 1993 by a small group of artists wanting to promote contemporary art and emerging artists, in a city deeply marked by its history. Based on the principle of volunteering, the directors take over each other every two years, which enables to perpetuate a relentless freshness, enthusiasm, and energy. Because of its organization, CATALYST ARTS offers a wide variety in its programming, transforms its space for any surprising ends, and promotes artists of all kinds. CATALYST ARTS is a gallery, but it has also been a cinema theater, a recording studio, a publishing company, a radio station, a discount store, a wrestling ring, a sauna, a brewery, an agnostic chapel, a banqueting hall, a darts club, a recreation center, a nightclub, and more recently, a boutique.
