Lavigne Joy

Curriculum Vitae / Informations

Whether organic, architectural or virtual, Joy Lavigne’s work considers the habitat in a poetic way, exploring its sensory resources.

By drawing an analogy between the matrix and the body, she situates her practice within issues of interaction and transmission that are both intimate and universal. Both in terms of her many material components and the subjects she deals with, this young artist offers an innovative vision of the interface.

Taking advantage of physiological means of communication such as odours and waves, and technologies ranging from cathode-ray television to 3D creation, her installations take the public into different narrative and metaphysical spaces.
