Ecoletopie x La Station

an experiment in pedagogy by Smarin

Écoletopie forms a space for transmission, a total environment to be collectively transformed, and a methodical proposal of practices for the development of fundamental skills.

Following its activation at the Centre Pompidou-Metz in 2022 and its deployment in several elementary classes, the Écoletopie project will be installed at La Station in Nice from March 1 to May 11, 2024.

The exhibition space features modular furniture designed and produced by designers from Smarin, an internationally renowned Nice-based studio, which the public can try out.

The installations are also available free of charge to Cycle 2 and 3 classes, and are accompanied by a series of practical conversations and workshops for schoolchildren led by Studio Smarin staff.

At La Station, Studio Smarin’s contributors conduct workshops for schoolchildren (from elementary classes to students), inviting them to come and collectively inhabit and transform the exhibition space.

The project is funded by the DRAC Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, the département 06 and the Ville de Nice.
